Juniata River Fly Fishing Guide Service
Our Juniata River guide season begins in the third week of June and runs through October. When the trout fishing dies down due to warmer water temperatures we love to chase smallmouth bass on the fly. There is hardly a better place to smallmouth fish then the Juniata River since it is comparable in quality to the Susquehanna smallmouth bass fishery but is much smaller and more manageable. It is still a pretty big river and is still difficult to wade so most of our fishing here and guide trips are run from drift boats or rafts. Our guide service operates on the Juniata River between Duncannon and Port Royal.
The Juniata gets all of the same hatches that the Susquehanna gets and the size class of the fish is nearly equal to the Susquehanna River, in fact most of the larger smallmouth we boat come out of the Juniata River.
If you are looking for a new river or adventure make sure to check out the Juniata River and line a trip up with us for some of the best smallmouth fishing in the country.
