Back with a Bang!

After about a month of high muddy water the Wild East Outfitters Guide Service is back at it again and putting some monster smallmouth in the boat. We are catching fish on Murdich Minnows, poppers, sliders, and a variety of Clouser Minnows up and down the Susquehanna and Juniata River.

Last week started off slow and the action gradually picked up... at the end of this week we ran a package trip and had clients out for a multi day trip where we put them up in a motel and provided breakfast, lunch, dinner, two full days of guiding and a great time. Everyone caught fish, everyone ate well and everyone came away a better angler.

The best place to improve as an angler is one the water actually catching fish. While practice in the grass helps there is nothing like doing the real thing and it's always great to have a good cast rewarded with a good fish.

We work with every client on casting and provide instruction that will help the angler improve technique. It's not uncommon for an angler to come to us at the beginning of the day with a 20 foot cast to then improve to a 60 foot or better cast.

Anyway, check out some of the pics from some of the great fishing we had this week.
