High Water Again!

Writer's picture: Nicholas RaftasNicholas Raftas

The outlook for smallmouth bass fishing on the Susquehanna doesn't look good for the immediate future... they are getting rain again in New York and up on the West Branch Susquehanna and eventually that water will hit the Harrisburg area and push the flows back up again. The Juniata is also rising again because they have received more rain in Central, PA.

I will be pulling the boat out again and doing some scouting and recon on some familiar water that I haven't fished for quite some time. I am considering a float on the Conodoguinet Creek or maybe even potentially lower Penn's Creek. There is potential to catch muskie and potentially some pretty decent smallmouth bass in the Conodoguinet Creek. I will keep you posted on how we make out.
