I met up with my client yesterday in the Dauphin area at 6:30 am. Air temperatures were predicted to get well into the 90s and that it did. We started out early and popped some decent smallmouth bass off the banks along shade lines. We then rowed out to mid river and were able to target smallmouth chasing bait down. This was good to see. There were a lot of bass actively chasing down bait fish. We threw Clouser Patterns in all white and Murrays Magnum in all white. We ended the day a little early due to the heat. It's really important that when you show up for a guide trip you show up with proper clothing or you aren't going to be comfortable.
